Eat your own dog food.

It’s important to “walk a mile” in your customer’s shoes. Whether it’s a web site, application, a call center, or an in-person process, make it a point to go through the process as those who rely on you do. Only then will you understand what works, what doesn’t, and have the necessary context to understand consumer feedback.
