Make the most of travel.

For some people, travel presents more of an opportunity for networking than it does work. Try to meet senior managers and other colleagues you don’t normally interact with. When you’re remote you don’t get to have random encounters with people in the hallway or kitchenette. Make the most of your physical time together and it’ll pay dividends when you’re back in your remote office.
